Frequently Asked Questions The semester has already started. Can I still enroll? Yes. We accept enrollments throughout the semester. We will prorate your tuition to reflect only those classes which fall after your enrollment date. You will still need to purchase materials, unless you are within the last 3 weeks of a unit. Why do I need to purchase materials? The Kindermusik at-home materials are integral to your child's experience in the program. They provide the class-home connection that makes Kindermusik so much more than a once-a-week class. As children listen to the cds, read the books, and play their instruments at home they are reminded of the concepts they learned and the fun they had in Kindermusik. When a child (and parent, in parent participatory classes) comes to class knowing the songs, they are much better prepared to engage in the activities and more learning and development takes place. I am expecting a child to be born during the semester. How will you accommodate that? We will talk with you ahead of time about how you would like to handle classes during the time after you welcome your baby into the family. We have found that many older siblings benefit greatly from continuing classes during this time. It provides a touch-point of stability in their suddenly topsy-turvy world. It can also provide a weekly respite for potentially overwhelmed moms if a family member or a friend brings the older child to Kindermusik. We realize this is not always possible, and will work with you to find the best solution for your family during this season of your family's lives. Do you offer any discounts? Yes. If you enroll a child in more than one class, or enroll siblings in any combination of classes, we will deduct 10% from the lesser tuition. If you enroll twins in the same class we will deduct 25% from one tuition. We also offer early enrollment incentives each semester. I'm not sure if Kindermusik is right for me. How can I be certain? We will be happy to schedule a day for you to join us during the class that you are considering. If you are unsure which of two classes is right for you, you may try them both. We also offer demonstration classes during the year that would give you a chance to see if a class is right. In considering a class which has not yet started, we will advise you that many classes fill before the start date. In this case we would allow you to preview the class after it started, but you would need to wait until the next semester to join, or else enroll for one of our other classes. We recommend that you enroll for the class of your choice if a new semester is upcoming. |
